The Midwest boasts a remarkable variety of tree species, presenting both a treasure trove and a challenge for those keen on identifying them. This application, while not exhaustive in its coverage, provides a helpful introduction to 30 common tree species found in the region. It is particularly aimed at educators who venture into the outdoors during the fall and winter months, fostering a connection between students and their environment through tree identification using a dichotomous key.

 <li>An intuitive dichotomous key format, enhanced by images and a glossary to aid descriptions</li>
 <li>A history view of previous identification steps within the dichotomous key</li>
 <li>Comparative visuals to assist in identifying twigs, buds, bark, fruit, and leaves</li>
 <li>A feature to verify the presence of species within specific states</li>
 <li>Engaging facts about each tree species included</li>
</ul>

Developed with dedication for Camp Joy in Clarksville, Ohio, “Identitree” was brought to fruition by volunteer programmers and designers during the 2013 Southwest Ohio GiveCamp.
